Foley & Turner has extensive experience in the defense of routine and complex general liability cases, commercial casualty losses and the defense of real estate appraisers. We have also developed expertise in assisting insurers with coverage questions, including but not limited to duty to defend and duty to indemnify.

Litigation-General Liability
We deal with all areas of injury and damages, including but not limited to physical injuries, emotional and psychiatric injuries and other losses arising from these areas. We focus on business casualty losses and representing carriers in subrogation claims in such casualty losses.

Labor/Employment
We represent management in labor and employment cases, including but not limited to wage and hour laws, wage payment laws, employment discrimination matters, wrongful discharge litigation, preparation of personnel policies and procedures and employee handbooks, preparation of substance abuse policies and testing policies, and other areas of employment discrimination in Federal and State courts and before administrative agencies. 

Insurance Coverage
We have a good deal of experience in interpreting insurance policies and in rendering opinions on coverage, duty to defend, duty to indemnify, and other insurance contract related issues. Our attorneys are also very well versed in defending bad faith litigation, and monitoring claims. The firm has a broad based practice area in policy interpretation on behalf of carriers and also works with excess carriers, as many of our clients are self-insured companies with large self-insured retentions.
